rossrbl.org.uk - Ross Royal British Legion

 In conclusion

Let's all travel on the same road towards a bright future for those who risked their lives and who now need your help.

Let us not forget others who stepped forward to ensure our freedom.

Examples are in the section you saw hereLest we forget. and here.  The troops you saw in the first link died in 1915.  The Royal British Legion was formed in 1921 as a caring organisation for people in need from the Service and ex-Service community, and to remember those who gave their lives for our tomorrow.

We have 105 members, some of whom have served in the Armed Forces and some who are still serving.  A membership of over a hundred sounds as if the Branch is thriving.  It is and has a trophy and demonstrates other achievements to prove it.  That's no excuse for standing still.  As a member you will be able to enhance help to those of the ex-service community who need help.  In the main, that is achieved by raising money.  The branch hopes to add a  more practical and personal dimension.  When people have given so much for Queen and country, people need people as much as portions on a plate etc.

Membership can also give you companionship with others of like-mind and you can help craft a branch which meets your interests and needs. However, you can just help by your subscription going into the fund.

To join, just use the Contact page.  Membership currently costs £13.50 p.a. which gives you six magazines p.a..

We hope you enjoyed reading earlier pages which were written for your inspiration.

Make it your branch in real terms.

The branch is very grateful to Ross Gazette for its support in this publicity venture.
